030: TheBrain (How to Use PersonalBrain to Get Organized and Get More Done)

GTD® VSG

One of the key aspects of GTD is getting things out of your head. In this episode, you can learn more about how to use TheBrain's amazing prowess to do just that. Our guests were Harlan Hugh (CEO and Brain inventor) and Shelley Hayduk (Brain.com blogger). You can hear how to use tags to create contexts, thought types to categorize, link out to other files, and much more.

No Podcast This Week

GTD® VSG

Due to my mom's recent hospitalization, I am unable to host tomorrow's call. There will be no podcast this week. :(

Our next podcast will be recorded on Thursday, Aug 13 when we'll have Shelley Hayduk from The Brain as our presenter and guest.

Best wishes,
Tara

Older Podcasts Back Up!

GTD® VSG

All the files have now be reloaded on to the feed. If all went well, you should be able to get all the older podcasts. If you experience trouble, please leave a comment to let me know and I'll get on it.

Thanks! and happy listening!

026: Perspective and Control

GTD® VSG

David Allen calls it "captain and commander," a state of perspective and control nirvana that allows you to have mind like water. But how do you get there? In this episode, we talk about capture, weekly review, and the other GTD skills that are needed to get you in the upper-right quadrant. We also had a surprise special guest, Renzo Borgatti, who gave us the low-down on the Pomodoro Technique as a means of gaining greater control over distraction and increasing focus.

Older Episodes, Another Update

GTD® VSG

Here's the latest: I was hosting the older files on Switchpod. All the newer files are on my LibSyn account. Switchpod, as best I can determine, was purchased by LibSyn. LibSyn migrated paid accounts over but my account was a free one and was simply discontinued. I wrote to LibSyn and they kindly migrated all my files over this morning. Yay, LibSyn--you guys rock!!!

Now, all that's left is to go through and update the file locations behind the links and it's all done. I'll keep ya posted!

Missing Episodes

GTD® VSG

Several users reported that older episodes had gone missing. As it turns out, the old hosting service went bust without warning. Fortunately, I have most of the episodes backed up. It may take me a while to get them uploaded but I'll get to work on it ASAP. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
